Toddler Yoga Classes in Berlin, CT
Your baby is not a baby anymore! Toddler yoga is perfect for helping your on-the-go toddler develop physically, emotionally, and intellectually during the important years of their brain development. This class is:
Engaging and stimulating for your child’s developmentally appropriate attention span
A place to explore new ways to play and expand higher-level thinking skills
A fun place to use song and movements to achieve growth and developmental milestones, body awareness, and memory
An opportunity to practice identifying and expressing emotions, while also learning to notice those around them
For toddlers 19 months - 3 years old
Have you heard of a “yes space”?
At toddler yoga, I believe in creating a safe, welcoming, and playful environment where little yogis can explore freely and confidently. A "yes space" encourages toddlers to express themselves, connect with you, and embrace movement on their own terms. Here's how I create this supportive space in our classes:
A safe environment - Our yoga space is set up with curious toddlers in mind, free from hazards like sharp corners, exposed outlets, or breakable items. Our studio provides plenty of space for toddlers to explore and move while maintaining a cozy, connected atmosphere.
Flexibile structure - Toddlers are free to join in, observe, or take breaks as they need. Participation is always encouraged but never forced. Our classes are designed with flexibility in mind, allowing us to pivot and adapt to the energy of the group.
Engaging activities - We use upbeat songs and rhythms encourage little ones to move, stretch, and play. You’ll bond with your toddlers through movement and fun by mimicking animals, vehicles, or elements of nature.
Encouraging atmosphere - Whether it’s a wobbly tree pose or a creative interpretation of downward dog, every attempt is met with claps, smiles, and encouragement. I keep things pressure-free, so it’s okay if your toddler gets distracted or needs a moment to reset.
Here’s what Mama A.G. has to say
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“From newborns to toddlers, Molly has all the skills, techniques, and the most welcoming environment for children and their caregivers. She is able to keep the toddlers actively engaged, excited, and willing participants in the yoga series she has for them! But most importantly, she follows their cues and desires also to make the class a welcoming and interesting place for them. I cannot recommend Molly’s services enough! You will leave her space refreshed and connected to your little one in a special way, while also gaining insight and friendships for yourself with others in the Peaceful and Prenatal community.” - Mama A.G.
What to Know Before Toddler Yoga
I get it—preparing for new experiences with little ones can feel like a big task.
I also know how stressful it can be to get out the door with toddlers in tow, so let me help ease some of that nervousness for you!
You don’t need to worry about bringing anything to class—I provide all the yoga props and toys you’ll need. And if you happen to run late, no problem! You can join us anytime and jump right into the fun.
Here are some of the most common questions I get about toddler yoga:
-
You're welcome to bring both your baby and toddler to our toddler yoga class! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, your baby can stay comfortably in a carrier or on your lap during class. Babies under 1 join for free!
-
While yoga won’t eliminate big feelings, we practice identifying emotions and calming strategies like deep breathing and mindful movement. Over time, these strategies will become ones they start to use when those big emotions arise.
-
We’ve all been there! If your toddler needs a break, you’re welcome to step aside to comfort them and rejoin when they’re ready. This is a judgment-free zone!
